Frame off restoration completed in 2023. Driver/car show pleaser - sounds incredible with rebuilt 327DH and small cam / ceramic coated headers. 4 Spd Muncie in floor. PS, front disc brakes
Tons of upgrades so here goes:
Custom paint combo inside and out with clear coat, custom exhaust, new wood floor bed and channels, new wood steering wheel, 'Vintage heat/a/c' mounted under dash with controls, tilt steering column, new front windshield, custom interior and floor carpet, new sun visors, window guts, rubber door seals, new gas tank to truck bed, killer paint matching 'Steel Wheels' with center chrome cap and beauty ring with 235/60R 17 tires , new front and rear bumpers, new grill, USB charger in removable center console, tons of engine new parts including master cylinder, inline fuel filter, radiator - brakes - brake lines - bearings etc, new side trim pieces and more.
This has been my favorite rebuild and I enjoy it as a 1965 was my first vehicle back in the day - previous vehicles I've owned and had restored to various levels include a 1967 Charger, 1965 GMC 1/2 ton SWB, 1965 Rambler Wagon, 1972 Plymouth Gold Duster, 1997 Camaro and 1996 Toyota 4Runner.
Driver door closes hard so it needs tweaking or to allow the inside door rubber to soften. Small water coming in from antenna area needs addressed however the truck is ALWAYS parked inside car shed and battery has maintenance charger.
I spent a lot of time making sure of the ride quality, cool ac, braking components and definitely the stance and the sound.
