This 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint spent several decades in
storage during a reported 46-year period of prior ownership, and it
was acquired by the seller in 2023. This Alfa was completed
restored with every nut and bolt at which time the color was
changed from its original blue to red. The engine is a fully
rebuilt replacement 1.3-liter inline-four that is paired with a
four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 15?
TZ-style steel wheels, drum brakes, headlight grilles, Veglia
instrumentation, a wooden shift knob, a heater, and red lap belts.
This Giulietta Sprint is now offered with the removed air cleaner
housing, refurbishment photos, and a clean Illinois title. The
five-digit odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 2k of which have
been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. A
matching spare wheel with a Dunlop tire is stored in the trunk.
Body was completely restored down to metal with a rotisserie. All
flaws were repaired with metal repairs only. All chrome was
re-chromed with some pieces new. The interior was completely
restored and everything is as new. The Veglia gauges were
refurbished and all work. The replacement 1.3-liter inline-four is
said to have been rebuilt in the last 1000 miles with work
consisting of resurfacing the cylinder head, polishing the
crankshaft, refurbishing the radiator and water pump, and fitting
new pistons, cylinder sleeves, rod bearings, valves, and valve
springs. An electric fuel pump has been installed. Additional work
during the refurbishment included replacement of the following:
Timing chain, Carburetor, Ignition components, Radiator hoses,
Heater core, Muffler, the brakes were reportedly overhauled during
the refurbishment with a rebuilt master cylinder and wheel
cylinders as well as replacement front brake shoes and lines. The
shocks, anti-sway bar bushings, and ball joint boots were also
replaced and all other mechanical components to as new specs. The
Rear differential was resealed and the rear axle bearings and rear
center support bearings were replaced. The tachometer and
speedometer cables were replaced during the refurbishment along
with the ignition switch. The bumpers were re-chromed and the trunk
lock, taillight assemblies, side mirrors, headlight bulbs, and
license plate lights were all replaced.
Same ownership for 46 years, then purchased by an Alfa mechanic in
2019 which performed the restoration between 2019 and 2022 at which
time put about 2000 miles on the car and sold to the current owner,
an Alfa Romeo enthusiast in Maine as an investment. Register to bid
